A distillation of a lifetime's thinking about architecture

Leon van Schaik AO has been Professor of Architecture at RMIT University for 30 years. His latest book, Architecture in its Continuums, represents the distillation of a lifetime of thinking about architecture and the ways in which it is practiced, researched and taught, with forewords by Professor Kate Heron, Head of Architecture at the University of Westminster, and Professor Vivian Mitsogianni, Associate Dean of Architecture at RMIT.

The book will be launching at the NGV International, as part of Melbourne Design Week, at the NGV Melbourne Art Book Fair on Saturday 17 March. Andrew Mackenzie will chair a panel discussion from 3pm to 4pm between Leon van Schaik, Vivian Mitsogianni, and Roland Snooks, exploring the intersections of architecture, research and design practice.

The event is free but bookings are recommended. Don’t miss your chance to hear van Schaik in conversation and get your hands on this unique insight into an established and ongoing practice of thinking about architecture as education, research and practice.
