About the Author
Dr Deborah van der Plaat is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the School of Architecture at the University of Queensland, where she co-manages the Digital Archive of Queensland Architecture and researches the intersection of 19th and 20th-century Australian architecture with theories of climate, place, migration, and race. Lloyd Jones is a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland whose research focuses on documenting the work of Robin Gibson and his practice, Robin Gibson and Partners; he holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in architecture from UQ and received the Young Achievement Award at the 2018 National Trust (Queensland) Heritage Awards.
