Commissioned by the Jencks Foundation and e-flux Architecture, this publication asks what a diagram of architecture looks like now. Eight teams respond to Jencks's famous chronograms with their own visual arguments, each staking a position on the discipline's present condition. The first six address techno-optimism, feminist spatial practice, racial disparity, and ecological implications. The final two, produced in conjunction with an exhibition at CIVA in Brussels, chart the history of circular building strategies and interrogate how the discipline defines itself through the very act of diagramming. The result is a polemical, visually rich document of architectural theory in a moment of contested values.
