Claesson Koivisto Rune: In Transit is the first comprehensive monograph on this Stockholm-based practice, tracing three decades of multidisciplinary work across 26 countries — from buildings and hotels to watches, lighting, and furniture.

About This Book

Few studios have navigated the boundary between architecture and product design as fluidly as Claesson Koivisto Rune. Founded in Stockholm in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto, and Ola Rune, the practice has shaped the contemporary Scandinavian design scene while operating on a genuinely global scale. This monograph situates their work in that wider context for the first time, moving between scales and disciplines — private homes, art galleries, chairs, hotels, tables — to reveal a practice defined by consistent design thinking rather than stylistic formula. With narration by the founders themselves and photography by leading architectural photographers, the book is essential reading for anyone engaged with the evolution of Nordic design culture.
