About This Book
Guest edited by V Barratt and Julianne Pierce of the cyberfeminist collective VNS Matrix, this issue of un Magazine asks what art can do with technology beyond critique. Its contributors approach artificial intelligence through anti-racist, decolonial and transfeminist perspectives, holding the mineral and the computational in a single frame — stones and circuits, land and infrastructure, extraction and inference. Essays, interviews, scores and artist pages move between Indigenous epistemologies of dreaming and cognition, the labour and waste of machine systems, and the intimacies that form between humans, organisms and machines.
